What is Virtual Academy

The EVSC Virtual Academy is designed to provide flexibility to students K-12 as they earn credits for their regular classes, credit recovery, or credit advancement. All courses meet the Indiana State Academic Standards. Throughout their courses, students will complete assignments, quizzes, tests -all of which factor into a student's final grade.

The EVSC Virtual Academy utilizes online learning and instruction from a licensed teacher. Our teachers communicate regularly with students through weekly progress reports, email and in scheduled face-to-face study sessions each week. Personal study and tutoring sessions ensure the best possible instruction and support for our students.

Students in grades K-8 have regular access with instructors. Students and parents will meet regularly with teachers in the school instructional setting, or online, to complete and review their progress. All K-8 lessons are designed to meet the requirements of the Indiana State Academic Standards and will prepare students to advance to the next grade level. Our K-8 students also participate in collaborative activities such as robot engineering and book clubs.

At the high school level, Virtual Academy offers required and elective courses in all core content areas, as well as Spanish, business, and PE/Health. The Virtual Academy also offers Advanced Placement courses.  EVSC Virtual Academy courses are approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Students who graduate from the EVSC Virtual Academy are awarded a full EVSC diploma.
